Experienced, supportive, and passionate teachers at Abingdon Dance Studios
At Abingdon Dance Studios, our teachers are highly trained, experienced, and passionate — creating a positive, encouraging environment for every dancer, whatever their age or ability.
Owner & Principal
Shell W
The driving force behind Abingdon Dance Studios, Shell grew up dancing in these very rooms — and now leads the school she loves with the same standards and warmth it has been known for since 1965.
Her focus is simple: high-quality teaching in a welcoming space where every dancer, of every age and level, feels encouraged and proud of how far they have come.

View profileOur approach to teaching
We believe dance teaches far more than steps. Through dance, students develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and self-belief.
Our teachers encourage dancers to work independently and as part of a group, to care for their bodies, and to enjoy learning in an environment built on encouragement, respect, and mutual support. Strong friendships are formed within our classes, creating a positive and welcoming studio community.
