Our Teachers

Michelle

Abingdon dance principal and head teacher. 
I has been teaching now for 18 years. First being a pupil myself at Abingdon dance studios from the age of 4 years, progressing through the school, taking exams, competing at competitions in the southeast area and nationwide, and taking part in show cases. I also went on to college to do a two year performing arts course, I have performed at many theatres and also worked for Haven holidays as there dance captain. 
I realised that from a small age I wanted to dance and do this as a career. 
I loved the way dance made me feel, and now i do this as a career I feel very lucky. 
I have a high level of qualifications in the industry at a fellowship level, through the IDTA. 
(International dance teachers association) For one of my exams I was awarded the Giles award for top dance teacher for licentiate freestyle exam. 
I have trained many students over the year that have also gone into win national competitions, been entered for freestyle scholarships and are studying dance at universities. 
I took over the business officially from Liz LeeSelleck July 2020. 




Kelly Cole’s

Kelly Cole’s

Kelly has been teaching at our school for many years, kelly, was a student at Abingdon dance and came back as an adult to train as a teacher. Kelly teachers Zumba and adult street and freestyle. Kelly is a fun energetic teacher we are very proud to have her as our team. 

Sophie Walker

Sophie have been teaching with us for a few years now, she too was a pupil here at Abingdon dance and returned to train as a teacher. Sophie currently is on maternity leave but we look forward to seeing her soon in the near future. Sophie teaches street dance to juniors and is very popular with the students. Sophie also is a career and brings a real understanding to pupils with additional needs. 

Kelly taylor

Kelly has been teaching for us for many years, she now tends to cover other teacher when she can. Kelly teaches Zumba and ballroom and Latin, Kelly also works for the 999 ambulance service.

Training Teachers

All our student teachers hope to qualify by this time next year, I wish the all the luck in their future exams.

Jadie Mitchell

Jadie is currently training for her freestyle and street dance teachers qualification, Jadie has been with us since she was about 8 years old as a student taking part in many exams, competitions and showcases. She is current taking her A levels at school. Jadie helps with some junior classes in which she is very popular with the students. She will be an asset to the company once qualified.

Holly Webb

Holly has been dancing with us since the age of 9 she has taken part in exams, competitions and showcases and is currently taking her A levels one which is in dance. 

Once qualified in street and freestyle Holly will be an assist to the company



Becky Shrimpton

Becky has been part of our school for a long time, she has taken part in many shows and exams other the years. Becky is a TA at a school and looks forward to being qualified as a teacher in the future. Becky currently helps with a number of classes. I wish Becky all the luck in achieving her goal. 



Liberty Borg

Liberty is currently training in her Latin and ballroom teachers qualification. Liberty helps out with the juniors, our young dancers really get on well with Liberty she will be a fantastic teacher for us in the near future. Liberty is currently taking her A levels at school.
