Abingdon dance is the leading long established dance school in Abingdon, offering classes for children and adults in street, freestyle, rock n roll, ballroom and Latin, Zumba, and wedding dance lessons 

 

Abingdon dance studios first started business in 1965 (57 years) it was first under a different name of Brett’s from previous owners but Pauline and Liz changed the name to Selleck’s and then to Abingdon dance studios in the 80’s

The business was in Swinburne road principal Pauline Selleck. Pauline ran the school for many years and then jointly with her daughter Liz Lee-Selleck. Liz is an IDTA examiner and life member. 

Both liz and Pauline taught Michelle dancing and Liz trained Michelle as a dance teacher under the IDTA. 


We offer classes for all ages and ability, with the opportunity to take part in exams, competitions and showcase throughout the year. 


Liz retired from teaching 5 years ago in which Michelle took over the running of the business and two years ago Liz sold the business completely to Michelle. 

The dance school has now moved premises to Larkmead secondary school and west wing studios both still in Abingdon. 

All our teachers are trained to a very high standard under the IDTA. 

All our teachers are extremely passionate about dancing and encourage all our students to be the best they can, dancing is not just a hobby it teaches the students so much more, how to work on the own and in small and large groups, how to look after there body, how to stand up and be proud of themselves. We promote positive learning.
